SUGGESTED ITINERARY

Day 1 Arrive Panama City. Overnight Panama City.
Day 2 Transfer to Bocas del Toro This morning you will travel from your hotel in Panama City to Panama City's domestic airport for your flight to Bocas del Toro. Once you arrive in Bocas Town, one of the owners of Tranquilo Bay will be at the airport to greet you and transport you from Bocas Town to lodge. The boat trip through the archipelago from Bocas Town on Isla Colon to Isla Bastimentos is about 25 minutes. Our captain will use this time to give us a basic orientation of the archipelago and the Bastimentos National Marine Park. Fishing Light tackle offshore trolling for tuna and wahoo in the afternoon. Returning to lodge on the windward side of the Islands will give us an opportunity to see Playa Larga and the Zapatilla Cayes, both part of Bastimentos National Park. These are both very important beaches for 4 species of sea turtles, particularly the green, and leather back.
Day 3 Fishing Today we will fish the mouths of several rivers for tarpon, the king of all game fish. Nothing compares to the thrill of a hooked tarpon. Their strength, endurance, and incredible acrobatics put them in a class all by themselves. These waters see very little tarpon fishing pressure, we might not even see another boat all day. Panamanian tarpon average 60-80 pounds, with world-class fish up to 200.
Day 4 Fishing. Transfer to Panama City. Overnight in Panama City. Tarpon fishing in the morning. After our morning's tour, we will return to the lodge for a quick shower, grab our stuff and then on to Bocas Town to catch a return flight to Panama City.
Day 5 Return home.
