Nicaragua is the best kept secret in the wingshooting world. We have excellent
winter duck hunting as well as dove hunting all year round. EAI Outdoors has
pioneered wingshooting in this Central American Country and can offer you the
finest guides, equipment and locations. In the marshes and rice fields around
Lake Nicaragua we will find large concentrations of the white winged whistling
tree duck, the black bellied tree duck, as well as seasonal migrations of
widgeon, blue and greeen wing teal, and even pintails and shovelers. There are
currently no limit on the number of ducks that can be harvested. We will hunt
over decoys, either from boats, blinds or shortline positions. Action is fast.
We generally hunt ducks in the morning and doves in the afternoon during the
duck season. The rest of the year we hunt doves all day long. The dove hunting
would be similar to South Texas or old Mexico. Not Argentina, but still plenty
of doves!
The best part about Nicaragua is that we have plenty to do for the non hunters. Unlike Argentina where we hunt out of remote Estancias with nothing for the ladies to do, in Nicaragua we have a number of very good options from Granada or Managua. All of the great activities such as the volcanoes, craft markets, the boat tours on the lake, canopy zip line etc are availabale in the same area. We will arrange these activities as well. Nicaragua makes a great winter get away, is the perfect place to do some exotic dove and duck hunting and then we can add time at the beach.
