In Quepos we went out the first day 45 miles out and each caught a nice sailfish and I also caught a 300 pound blue marlin. ITINERARY Day 01: Pick up at the airport and transfer to Hotel Arenal Springs, breakfast included and room with a direct view to the volcano. Day 02: Half day fishing at lake Arenal. This morning we will go out in search of one of the toughest game fish fresh water has to offer – the Rainbow Bass. Known for both its fighting and leaping ability, these fish hit hard and don’t give up! Your guide will provide all tackle and equipment as well as refreshments. Lake Arenal is literally at the foot of the most active volcano in Central America so be ready for some explosions both on and off the water! Balance of the afternoon free to enjoy optional tours including canopy zip lines, horse riding, hot springs etc. Plenty for the non-fishermen to do as well! Day 03: Second half day fishing at Lake Arenal. Balance of the afternoon free. Day 04: Transfer to Manuel Antonio, Verde Mar Hotel or similar. The hotel is conveniently located next to the beach. From here you can walk to many local restaurants and cantinas as well as the National Park. Day 05: Full day deep-sea fishing (24 ft boat.
