Argentina is the worlds best kept secret when it comes to big game hunting. While South America is not known for its large mammals Argentina is the exception. Many years ago sportsmen from Europe who settled this country brought with them game from other parts of the world so they could continue their hunting tradition. Many of these species have established themselves as free roaming populations in various parts of the country offering hunters exciting and challenging opportunities as well as quality trophies. The Red Stag is a prime example. Also known as Red Deer these relatives of the American Elk roam the plains and mountains of Argentina in good numbers. The hunt takes place in La Pampa province to the south of Buenos Aires. The red stag rutting season goes from March 15th to April 15th.

The fields where we hunt red stag are relatively open with some hills. We stalk the animals in the bush on foot. It is a very exciting hunt on which you will have to use all your senses. We move slowly as at this time of year the prime males are always surrounded by many females. This is strictly a fair chase hunt with the animals having the advantage! We will hunt from dawn until 9 or 10 and then from 4 to last light. On a normal day you will see five to six bulls. Shots are usually less then 150 meters. Limited hunting assures plenty of game as well as quality trophies. Success rate is 99%

The accommodation is on a 10,000 acres Estancia (type of typical Argentine ranch), located inside the hunting areas. It's an open field ranch, with no fences restricting the animals from moving freely. It has 4 bedrooms, all with private bathrooms, American breakfast, lunch and dinner with Argentine barbecue at the estancia. Quality guides and a professional staff assure a relaxed and rewarding hunt. One of our staff will be with you at each stage of the trip including airport and customs. From this Estancia we can also hunt wild boar and puma. Itinerary

Day 1:	Depart US. (We will assist with all air arrangements)
Day 2:	Arrive Buenos Aires. Met at customs and assisted with guns. Transfer to regional airport for flight to La Pampa. Arrival to La Pampa and transportation to the lodge.
Day 3, 4, 5 and 6:	Full hunting in the morning and in the afternoon
Day 7:	Breakfast and lunch at the lodge and return to Santa Rosa De la Pampa airport
